I hate Rob Sarver. Always have always will. He's so lucky that Hornacek and McDonough saved this franchise or his ass would've gotten ran out of town.

I'm surprised he's willing to give refunds. He's known as the cheapest owner is sports so maybe this is a ploy to help him shed that identity? :noidea:

Fans paid money to watch a game between nba players. Not d-league scrubs. Jesus that was a blowout.

I think that the Spurs resting their guys last year sure helped them a great deal, despite the uproar last year. I'd have expected nothing less this year. Not sure why people even thought they were going to see those guys. They were old last year, and they didn't get any younger this season. Of course they weren't going to play. I think it's a great strategy for them. I get that KL is young and he sat, but again, save your guns. It obviously works.

It's still money spent by his consumers regardless of what type of game it is so I see his point. That being said Sarver's still a prick.

I hope that guy never pays money to see an NFL preseason game then.

He does it for regular Season games.

So, why is this surprising?

Pop answers to his Owners, their fans and has an obligation to protect his players.

Back to back finals appearances, while winning the last, says he's going the right thing.

Duncan, Parker, Diaw and Gin-nose-bleed are not exactly spring chickens.

Isn't the difference that in the NBA, preseason tickets are included in the season ticket price?
Therefore no season ticket holder should have anything to bitch about.

In the NFL, you are required to pay extra, and it is the same face price as regular games (which is total bullshit).

Not sure about NBA preseason but you are quite correct about the NFL preseason games.

It's preseason....Those who buy tickets should know what to expect. I will never buy preseason tickets ever.

How sad is that franchise that they are whining about not seeing the other teams players.

I thought you were supposed to market your own players.

Phoenix fans don't pay to see Suns???? wth...

And frankly this is what pre-season is for....to let players get minutes who may/may not make the roster, to test new sets, and to not show a darn thing about what you will do in the regular season.

Worst owner in the NBA now that Sterling is gone.

So you're speaking for us based on what our owner (that most of us hate) said? Strange logic you possess there...

You mean people actually pay out good money to watch a worthless preseason game?

Either way - if you're a fan and you know your team is playing the Spurs, then you have to know that Popovich will screw with your money. In time fans will learn this and quit paying out money to see their team play the Spurs. That's the way I would roll with my money. I would roll with my money in my pocked just the way I rolled this year without watching the Dodgers

Kobe Said It Well - Called ESPN A Bunch Of Idiots

I have never liked ESPN any way long before now. Never cared for Charles Barkley and cared less for Shaq Oneal. I have never cared for their worthless power rankings and their editorials have always been lacking, so thank you Kobe for calling them out.
