I have never liked ESPN any way long before now. Never cared for Charles Barkley and cared less for Shaq Oneal. I have never cared for their worthless power rankings and their editorials have always been lacking, so thank you Kobe for calling them out.

:wtf:

What's the point of this thread? Suns owner offered refunds to people who paid to watch a game he felt wasn't a good product. Season ticket holders pay for preseason games as part of the package. This is a good PR move.

It's not the first time he has done this.

What's the point of this thread?

To laugh at the complete overreaction from the Suns owner to this situation. It's a preseason game. People who show up are expecting an inferior product. I wonder what Suns players thought of his little grandstanding gesture? He basically got on the mic and said "sorry you didn't get to see the Spurs tonight folks. Here's fifty dollars."

You mean people actually pay out good money to watch a worthless preseason game?

Either way - if you're a fan and you know your team is playing the Spurs, then you have to know that Popovich will screw with your money. In time fans will learn this and quit paying out money to see their team play the Spurs. That's the way I would roll with my money. I would roll with my money in my pocked just the way I rolled this year without watching the Dodgers

Folks in AZ don't have that much money to spend TLF, good move by the Suns owner.

The chicken suit comment was a reference to more of Sarver's antics in a game against the Spurs back in 2005. In that game, Pop held out Duncan and Ginobili. Which apparently left Sarver feeling compelled to face the Spurs bench and flap his arms like a chicken.

Pop said more where he actually explained why 5 guys were out. In addition to the chicken suit comment, Pop also said this:

"As I said, the silliness begins. Most wise individuals would check facts before they made statements; unless you're interested in putting on a show. In that case, the facts get in your way, as in this case."

"We had five guys we didn't send," Popovich told the San Antonio Express-News. "Patty Mills had a shoulder operation over the summer. Tiago Splitter has been out the whole preseason. Kawhi Leonard was out and is still out for 10 more days. The other two, Duncan and Ginobili, are two of the oldest guys in the league who just came back from a 13-day European trip."
