The announcer on fox just said that Seattle won, they are the #1 seed and the team to beat....I think he should retract that statement lol

@smartfootball: Definitely RT @TomahawkNation: Yup RT @BCSGuru: The ruling on the Lynch TD actually ended up helping Atlanta.

What makes this game even more sweet is that Carroll single-handedly lost this game for the SeaChckens. :)

You can't leave 30+ seconds on the clock when Atlanta only needs a FG to win it.

Oh, and great timeout too. Icing the kicker is a great strategy.

Yeah, the proverbial Brian Billick. He said that the Seattle Seahawks reaffirmed themselves as the #1 seed and are the team to beat in the playoffs.

Obviously a mistake, but still.

I'm almost exactly 50/50 on who I wanted to play here....kept going back and forth, basically thinking whoever was ahead in the game was the worse option. Pretty sure in the end I would have taken the home game over all other factors.

But was that the worst squib kick in NFL history? Like he was actually trying to execute an onside........maybe he had huge money on the game, that was some last-ditch attempt to cover the spread.

I hope the Falcons are daydreaming about their victory all week. I hate that we are traveling but at least we played yesterday.

I'm glad this was a nail-biter. They only have 7 days to recover from that emotional high, and the Niners had 8 plus an entire quarter of football. :)

I'm probably over-analyzing this, but whatever. This is going to be the longest week of the year.

HA! Scott Van Pelt:

There's some couple in a museum right now...looking at pottery or something. We aren't friends with them.

Who's Pat Hill?

@MaioccoCSN: RT @KenageShadow Atlanta has help against Kaep with Pat Hill on staff. > I've seen Pat. He has no chance of chasing down Kaepernick.

I loved that he was complaining about the TO afterward as if he hadn't called it himself. What a little bitch.

Yeah, as soon as they ended up on the two, I told my wife they should just let them score. Obvious in that situation. Tougher call from the four, but I probably still let them in.

I'm happy it's falcons, playing on the road isn't ideal, but their fans can be taken out of the game, and they are softer than the hawks would have been against us. As long as we don't come out flat I like our chances.

Storyline: 49ers have to face Matt Ryan and Mike Nolan's defense in order for a shot at a Super Bowl. Incredible for me on a personal level. If you've heard me speak on my feelings for Ryan as a QB and person and how I view Nolan as a coach and a defensive mind, you'll get where I come from somewhat. Somewhat predictable matchup obviously, but what a storyline going into the game.
