See my concern?

I'd still give up a late round pick, but he has very little value, IMO.

What's up Draft Crazy?

On top of the obvious concerns I shared he still is unproven. He could be tremendous, and knowing the Redskins he will no doubt turn into a Hall of Famer for you guys. He was drafted because he made big plays however his "Hell of a rookie season" consisted of 1 pick and 1 sack. On top of that he's a tweener and we really didn't know what position he can play at the NFL level.

What up?

Gruden said today "We will not trade Cravens"

Means nothing really, but it appears Gruden is uncertain if he even wants to play.

Low value. Unproven, some red flags there.

Sounds like he could be good at LB for us. I don't know if wants to though and I don't know if DC wants to give him up. I guess we'll see.

I agree Elway has been damn lucky this way so ...

Yep any hire than a 6th this year I will be not happy . The conditional can be hirer because we will know if he is worth it.

Yeah if anything trade him for a conditional pick next year. If he doesn't play at all you get a 7th, if he is on the roster week 1 a 6th, if he starts or plays in a certain amount of games a 5th. If he wins Defensive MVP a 4th. ;) If he solves how to prevent school shootings a 3rd. If he solves how to prevent school shootings and wins D MVP a 2nd, but you can't have our first.

As much as I have trashed him surely he would be worth taking a flyer on for a 5th or 6th right? You can get cap relief and he could turn into a really good player on a good defense like you have.

Sounds like this talk is dying down. I think Gruden said that there was no real talk of this trade at the combine, which could mean anything. Maybe it is something to keep our eyes on after Day 2, if we miss out on an ILB in FA and the first two days of the draft.

It has definitely been put on the backburner a bit. More important things going on with the Combine, interviews, and then FA kicking off next week. The Broncos still want him but are in no hurry to up their offer to get things done. Working to put pressure on the Redskins to make a move.

From what I heard, due to Stewart guarantees kicking in, this is less likely to happen... Redskins want too much

Cravens sounds like he is trying to force his way out of Washington and with the Broncos being the only ones pushing at all to get him he is trying to get things moving himself.

Denver really needs to stick to their guns and offer low on Cravens. He should have very little value.

Washington continues to show they are an incompetent Front Office in the NFL. So I'm not sure they will see Cravens as this low value type player. I've heard they want at least a 3rd round pick for him. Right now Broncos are offering a 5th and possibly late round pick next year. I can't see them getting a better offer than that.

I don't really blame Washington for being in no hurry to trade him. They won't get a 3rd. If we gave a 3rd for him I'd throw SpringStein in a snake pit out of frustration.

I guess from Washington's stand point I don't see the need to rush, from our standpoint I'd offer one pick and stand my ground. Washington will probably hold out as long as they can hoping for a better offer.

Right it makes sense for them to just hope some team misses out maybe on some prospects early in the draft and get desperate to fill a hole. Or they could use him in a trade up deal instead of having to give up a pick. Kind of like the Broncos did a few years ago with Ramirez. They were going to cut him anyway so being able to use him in a trade just made it that much easier. It is easy to see though that Cravens doesn't want to be there and I'm not sure that Washington even wants him back with how much of a headache he has been. So agree no reason for the Broncos to offer more than they have.
