Not saying it’s not true but 8 weeks post-surgery would be pretty fast to be full on kicking again. Some PT that simulates the motion might be more likely.

I’ve done PT a few times. It sucks but I’ll take it over surgery or meds any day.

As I'vw already said, my grandson, tore his ACL and Meniscus on July 10th at the UNH Football Camp. They(UNH Athletics Trainers) first said it was a sprain On the following Saturday he went to the NH HS Showcase and ran his first 40 in 5.0 he nearly collapsed but walked it off and ran his second one in 5.33. Considering that his slowest previous time all spring and summer was a 4.7 in 38 degree weather at UNE we knew something was wrong. The following Wednesday after heat/cold and rest he went out play 7 on 7 and ran a hitch and Go. When hitched he went down and had to be carried to my car. The knew was too swollen to do an MRI so he had to stay off it and finally the swelling was down enough on August 15, He had three and half hours of surgery on August 18th. He had his first PT session on August 20th. He's been going twice a week until last week.

October 6th he was off crutches and the leg brace was removed.

Tomorrow he will see the surgeon for his 16 week follow up. He's been given permission to join Planet Fitness and ride a bike, do the elipticals and any pedal exercise equipment. He's hoping he can start doing weight work to build up the leg to football condition.

I know that professional teams have all kinds of trainers and equipment and drugs that are not available to the average joe, but I was shocked to hear about Ghost. Hey, Folk had an emergency appendectomy two weeks ago and kicked yesterday.

There is merit to the idea that Cajuste and Froholdt can help although I am unsure how much, or how much we really know about them at this point. The Andrews thing is interesting, I would think by now the Pats would have an updated status on his future. Bottom line if they are unsure any O Line is only as good as their center so agreed it would be a very high priority.

Develin is missed for sure I will be curious to see if they draft a TE or look in FA. Either way it's a position that needs and upgrade. And you are correct we have no WR that can take the top off the D, haven't all year less one game.

Andrews case is very difficult on our end. We don't have the info. The clots could have been caused (total speculation) on trauma. There is plenty of that on an o-line. There are other causes. The medicine he takes would prevent playing football. If this is a temporary issue, he is a good center. He is more valuable than just center, he calls the o-line plays and is sorely missed. We miss Develin but because of the lack of demand, we can fullbacks fairly easily. We have cut 2 good ones in recent years, because Develin is "the guy" I agree we don't yet know what we have in Cajuste and Froholdt. Early in Thuneys career, many thought he was going to get cut. We need a tight end. Tight ends do not develop quickly (except Gronk) What we now have at TE could be better in time? They will not be Gronk. They better be able to block!

If Andrews, Cajuste, and Froholdt are all healthy next year and they can afford to re-sign Thuney and Shaq can get back to where he was the two years prior to this one then I would feel OK about the OL. That’s a lot of ifs, though. Center should be the top draft priority, IMO. The loss of Andrews has reverberated through the whole line and who knows if he’ll ever even be cleared to play again.

They also desperately need some speed on offense. A WR that can take the top off the D and a back that can beat defenders to the edge would help open the shorter stuff that this O thrives on. Alternately a true Y tight end and a healthy Develin would help with getting that power run game that served them so well during last year’s SB run going again.

And, yes, a kicker. And a return specialist. Ideally one of those speedy offensive guys. Hamler from Penn St. if he comes out would be awesome.

Agree on Oline we need to see how this plays out over the off season.

DL/NT I think we're fine. NE is getting plenty of pressure on the QB. The DL/NT are doing their job stopping the run.

Definitely need a TE. Still pissed BB didn't take one of the top 3 TEs in last years draft.

I think we need another Amendola, Edelman, Welker type who are quick and can get seperation going across the middle. Brady doesn't have the long ball anymore no need to get a WR early. Harry and putting Meyers outside would be enough to keep Ds honest.

Also NE is good on kickers. No need to use a draft pick.

I'd love to see them get a returner who could replace Bolden, Ebner or any other player BB has that basically only plays STs. How long can Slater play?

Adam Humphries would have been a nice signing. BB tried but he went to the Titans because he thought they had more potential.

I was disappointed they let Patterson walk. Great punt/KO returner or any other time he has the ball in his hands...just not in the air. Not a receiver.
