The two big differences it seems they take care of the ball and create turnovers more. Second is passing yards giving up. I will take some more sidearm throws if that's what is takes to win. Matt is having his best year of a young career. 5K passing yards doesn't make you good. It is what he is finally doing this year.

The lack of sacks from the Cards may help a depleted OL also.

Well I guess fourth... Same defensive penalties basically, yet more yardage by Cards. Must be a shit ton of PI calls on long plays. :noidea:

I'm thinking against a marginal offense, with Drew Stanton plugged in at QB, we could actually see the first lions shutout in over 20 years.

They got a decent kicker, though, right? It's hard to shut out a team with a good kicker playing in a dome...

They would need a big play or a bad punt from us to be that close though, and we've been awesome at limiting those 2 things this year. I know a shutout is never probable, but I think this is our best chance. Yes, even better than facing Bridgewater again. IMO of course.

The Cardinals have made a habit of playing their best ball in the fourth quarter this year as well. Id like to see us come out swingin early, get a lead and hold it. Because I don't think a fourth straight fourth quarter comeback is the way to go in this one.

Anyone know where we were at last season, at this point, in penalties? No complaints on them, for the most part. Middle of the pack is fine by me, just wondering what the comparison is.

It looks like it will come down to mistakes. I think if we stay even in that category with them we should win. They win their games by making less mistakes then their opponents. I think this is one game our Offense just needs to be steady and not do anything crazy. Let AZ make the mistakes.

Arizona doesn't play in a dome, do they? I must have missed something. I thought they had an outdoor stadium?

no kidding. i did not know that arizona's stadium was a dome with a retractable roof. is it a newer stadium? i could have sworn i saw them play a little while back and they were playing outdoors?!?

now that i think about it -- was there a time they played in a college stadium?

Cards fans said on Monday that the roof would be open.

Don't know if they are correct or not.

I would guess with Lions usually being a bad road team one and then out doors for a second reason.

Really not mch of a concern this year IMO. They have done many uncharacteristic things season.

Nope they've played there, retractable roof and all since 1928.

I don't know how people already knew. Seems like a "subject to weather" kinda thing. But Id guess your chances of winning against thr Lions go up if you're at home, on grass, outside.

Went to Phoenix some years ago (Lions lost) and they had a "fly over" after the Anthem. Unfortunately, they had the roof closed. Nice job Arizona.
