The issue is they can't close the close ones. Not just this series but all playoffs. OT has been basically an immediate loss everytime outside of the 3 Ot one. Which obviously couldn't score for 2+ extra periods.

The play has been solid tonight. But still missing insanely point blank looks.

Their lucks gotta change at some point. Could be tonight?

Sharks played their best game of the series, by far. Still thought it was pretty even. Murray did not have a good game - two of those were very save-able, and especially the third, Murray's gotta work on that. He gives up that high shot a lot, maybe he's not used to NHL-caliber players who can pick the top shelf like that.

Still kind of annoyed about that 4 min powerplay. One, because they let things go before that, clear game management at it's worst. (Don't know how Crosby doesn't draw one when he gets clearly held on a semi-breakaway.) But also because Crosby and Letang failed to get it deep at the end of the kill. Little mistakes will kill it.

Game 4 looms huge now.

The OT goal, yes Murray should have had it, but it deflected off a Pen and Murray lost it. Murray was going down to cover the five hole and the puck hit whomever was sliding in the leg and shot up.

Even with all that Murray should be able to follow the puck off a deflection 10-15 feet in front of him.

Either way, at this point the scouting report on Murray is wraparounds and going high on tough angles. Those are the only bad goals he gives up.

He's generally good at responding. I'm glad next game is Monday, I feel that less rest benefits the Pens at this point.

Looked like it to me.

I do know that on two of the three Sharks goals, Murray did not see the puck.
