AP names Matthew Stafford Comeback Player of Year | ProFootballTalk

Stafford edged out Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson, who received 15 votes to Stafford’s 21. 49ers quarterback Alex Smith came in third. Also receiving votes: Carolina wide receiver Steve Smith, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil, and Patriots defensive end Andre Carter.

Dontchaknow he beat the Niners single-handedly because he's the elitist of the elites. He didn't need no gimme turnovers.

Seriously though, he was working on it since 2010. He purposely had 26 INTs the previous year so he could come back this year, but those darn voters wouldn't cooperate.

Stafford deserved some sort accolade for his performance this year. Suppose this is fair, although I feel that Alex should have been a closer second.
