interviewing for the Bucks head coaching position.

First female to ever get an interview for a head coaching gig in the League.

I honestly didn't know there were any female assistant coaches.....not sure if she'll get it but just landing an interview is huge.

Really?

If you actually followed the NBA you'd know

She seems like she knows her stuff and she's spent a couple of seasons learning from Pop. Might not be a bad hire.

It was talked about forever when she first got hired. I think Pop even let her just straight up coach some of the summer league games.

Nice gesture by the Bucks but I’d be surprised if she actually got the job.

It’s a pretty big step for a front office to make even if it shouldn’t be. Plus more qualified people could arise.

It’s not like I’m rooting against her.

She's more qualified than guys like Mark Jackson and Jason Kidd when they were hired.

At least she has been an assistant coach

Being a former NBA PG is a pretty strong qualification but I can see your point.

She is as qualified as any of the candidates without NBA head coaching experience.

That said, it probably has to be the right organization for it to work.

There are a lot of egos and backwards thinkers in sports. While the NBA is by far the most progressive league, I guarantee there are still players who would think themselves superior to a female coach.

If she goes to the wrong spot where the players are not open minded, it could be really bad. David Blatt is prime example. Dude is a good basketball coach, but LeBron wanted nothing to do with him, so he had no chance.

This is the NBA's equivalent of the Rooney rule.

It's great experience for her and she seems to know her stuff.

But, with everything that has happened with the Bucks, they can't hire her, unless it's as the lead assistant.

Don't give the Freak any reason to request a trade.

Ps. I'm still feeling some kinda way about her playing for Russia in the Olympics.

Petty, yes because she was never making the team aheAd of Sue Bird.

But, I fucking hate it.

She won't.

But, it's great experience.

She has had the opportunity to be a head coach for a college program and declined.

She's paying her dues as an assistant. But, the Bucks can't make this kind of hire at this tenuous time in their franchise.

They are a mess and will need to do something with that roster.

It's not so much she's a woman. It's more that she doesn't have head coaching experience outside of the Summer League.

They need a Coach with experience.

Jackson, Blatt would work.

Maybe even Stackhouse if they don't want a retread.
