Zach Walters is impressing early, with the bat and the leather. If he keeps this up, could he make the club and Espinosa gets traded?

I think they'd like to trade Espinosa regardless of what Walters does, but that would definitely help. What would help even more is if Danny has a real good spring and can regain some value.

Oh no doubt. I just dont have faith he can do that. A shame too, he's a switch hitting guy with speed and pop who can play phenominal defense at 2B and SS. Easily has the potential to be a top 5 2nd baseman in the league. I hope he proves me wrong.

Whoa missed this yesterday but Nats signed lefty-reliever Michael Gonzalez to a minor-league deal with invite to big league camp. He was a key bullpen member for us in 2012. I gotta say, the bullpen battle will be awesome to watch over the next 3 weeks. No idea who will make the team. Could get even more crazy if Detwiler doesnt win the #5 job.

Nats win 11-1. That was a fun watch. MASN will re-air it at 7 pm. My first time actually seeing Espi at the dish. Definitely has a new approach. I'm likin it.

Man, the Braves pitchers are dropping like flies. While I'm not going to shed any tears for the organization, it really does suck for the individuals involved. To fight through Tommy John once, only to have to do it again...brutal. I hope for Medlen & Beachy's sake they both get healthy and back to top form again asap.

Major bummer. And for the first time, i'm actually wondering if shutting Stras down was the right move. I was totally against it until now. As for the Barves, i dunno how they'll do it, but they'll be contenders. Such a great regular season team it makes me mad.

I'm not shocked, either, but I am disappointed. I've always thought really highly of Det...though having too many pitchers is better than having not enough, I suppose.
