Spring Training 2024

So we traded a clubhouse leader, at a position that we didn't (and really still don't) have a good backup plan for, that was a 2.5 to 4 WAR player for a 30 year-old backup (at best) C and a 25 year-old reliever that can't even make the ML ball club? That's such a Mariners' trade, I can't even believe it...

I would have been worried if it worked out any other way...lol. #TheMarinerWay

I was watching this. Pretty cool moment for the kid. Clutch. He was down 0-2 and I think he got it to 2-2 vs a lefty.

Dipoto said that one of his offseason goals was to place high strikeout batters with contact hitters. Today, just 6 days before opening day, the Mariners split their squad and played two games. Between the two games, Mariner hitters managed to strike out 30 times, 15 in each game. Well done, Jer Jer.

Mariners Prospect Game.

SD sores 7 in the 2nd for a 7-0 lead. M's come back and take a 8-7 lead. SD comes back and takes a 10-8 lead. Wild, but fun game to watch. The kids have talent. Bottom of 7 we go.
