Just curious: why the hate for Tolo?

On a related note, I saw that Casey Blake was released by The Rockies. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.

But there's more. 'His spot' was taken by Jamie Moyer age 49. Awesome (gp posted this hope, I concur...and yes I know Blake isn't a pitcher)

Not sure I endorse a RJ for a non-win related post, but it is nice to see him again. :)

It was a "... but... Fuck That Guy RJ For The (Giants') Win." True, no actual victory, but still my favorite quote ever from this board. It embodies everything we stand for. I'm glad it has an equally awesome acronym.

No Pill? Who's the right-handed bat off the bench?

Theriot mainly, along with three of these four:

Arias, Posey, Stewart, Chez3 --> depending on who starts at catcher on any given day and the final roster spot decision between Arias and a third catcher. Within Baggs' scenario, it makes more sense, to me, to keep Arias and dump Stewart. And again, strictly within Baggs scenario, this is the team I'd like to see - excluding pitchers:

C/1B Posey
1B/LF Huff
1B/LF/RF Belt
1B/3B Sandoval
2B/SS/3B Theriot
2B/SS/3B Arias
Super-UT Burris
SS Crawford
C Sanchez
CF/LF/RF Pagan
CF/LF/RF Blanco
LF/RF Cabrera
LF/RF Schierholtz

If they only carry two catchers: whenever Bochy uses Posey or Sanchez off the bench as a PH, they'd stay in the game, either at first or catcher, and Boch would in turn remove Huff/Belt/Schierholtz. So even though the lineup is LHH heavy, the positional versatility of the players should allow Bochy enough freedom to operate in high leverage situations.

I think he'll haul it out in August, for two reasons:

1. To fuck with NL batters; and
2. Because he CAN.

3. There is almost no way to make this August worse than the Giants' last two. (Except maybe elbow tendonitis for Timmy - quick, Colin, oppo-jinx!)

Just got back from AT&T....great fucking experience. Melk man looked awesome, Pagan looked fast, Buster looked healthy. Bum was a little erratic, but Teh Beard was unhittable!

Nice. I'm getting pumped too. Good to hear that the home crowd took care of Buster.

You're on your own. I'm done jinxing this team. It only worked once (last year I almost saved Rowand's career through my jinxing skills...). It only leads to trouble.

I wonder if Timmeh will throw a no-no this year?

The crowd was LOUD! Well, at least on the radio. I could barely hear Dave Fleming during the 7th inning rally. I couldn't believe this was a meaningless exhibition game.

Damn, we have great fans.
