Still fluid, as several haven’t played anyone of note.

tOSU definitely deserves to be #1, but it gets jumbled after that. Any of the next 7 could be #2 depending on your criteria. While I have PSU at 8, they look like a top 5 team.

Texas, Oregon, Notre Dame, and Auburn currently are in a fight to be “best team with a loss”. Of the 4, ND has the best chance to win out.

Yeah I would take Notre Dame over those 1 loss teams at this point as well. I'm glad Ohio St isn't 1 and probably won't be 1 in the AP poll anytime soon even if they stay undefeated but I like them being at 3 or 4, I don't like that added pressure. Always hated when they were ranked preseason #1 or jumped up to 1.

Gonna take a nice win to get back in the poll though. Wyoming is a bad loss. I mean they have 3 easy games the next 3 so they really don't need a nice win to get back in the polls, just beat shitty teams like Ole Miss, Vandy and UK. Then you get 2 real tests with UGA and Florida to show if they are a top 15 team or so. Really not being a top 25 team doesn't mean much this week...they will be in the polls eventually.

Missouri is one of those teams that no one really wants to play, but always good for a couple of WTF losses.

Mizzou without a doubt is one of the best 25 teams in this country.

#2 in Total Defense, #2 in pass defense, #12 in rush defense, #10 in scoring defense

Offense is solid and is getting better with Bryant getting more and more comfortable.

Forgot about the week 1 loss at Wyoming where Mizzou actually completely outplayed Wyoming, just had a couple of really bad turnovers at the wrong time and I am guessing the elevation was a factor.

I'm not saying yall shouldn't have a seat at the top 25 table...but I personally need to see some better wins over better competition.

Next week will be a small test, but UGA/UF in a few weeks will be where you prove your metal.

Is Mizzou on some sort of double secret probation that only the NCAA and Coaches Poll is aware of? If so, that would explain it! FWIW, I don't consider @ Wyoming a bad loss. Wyoming is a decnt team (4-1) in a good conference (MWC) and was playing at home.

It doesn't make sense, but the numbers don't lie.

My numbers and the values I've placed on certain criteria may not make sense to some, but I like to crunch my own numbers and see how I stack up against bet-making systems. As the game changes in subtle ways I'm always looking for some method to "be ahead of the curve".

Placing various scoring values on different aspects of the game makes for a never ending journey looking for an angle.

Not to be insane. But Wake Forest is likely undefeated walking into the matchup with Clemson. If they beat clemson, are they in the playoff? Assuming they win the acc

No question. It would be something new & fresh too. I doubt anyone outside of North Carolina even laid eyes on Wake Forest ( football ) before.

I've seen Wake play twice in football: 1997 @ Florida State and in the 2006 ACC Championship Game vs. Georgia Tech @ Jax!

If they beat Clemson, win the ACC and are (13-0), they will 100% be in the CFB Playoff!

I love the start the Wake has got off to, just like Minnesota. However, in reality you look at Wake's first 5 games and what they have left and I think smart money would be on them losing 4, maybe even 5 of their remaining games.

I said Mizzou is one of the best Top 25 teams in the country, didn't say anything about actual rankings. Mizzou has beaten Florida 83-33 the last 2 years combined...not scared of them
