If you go back and look at clips, his perimeter defense is pretty bad.

I'm always hesitant when college players can't elevate their teams, but Ayton will be the 3rd #1 pick in a row which really couldn't help his team win.

And Simmons has proved so far to be a great NBA player.

As someone that watched him every game at UA, this is wrong. His perimeter defense is actually solid, he moves very well at his size and could stick w/guards at times on switches. His defensive concern comes off the ball, having trouble rotating or playing proper help defense, which isn't a huge concern because that can be taught, he just started playing basketball what, 4-5 years ago? He'll develop better instincts with experience. He also played out of position at the 4 w/ Ristic there, playing the 5 against players his size will only help at the next level.

As far as winning goes, they won the conference outright, won the Pac12 tourney, he was the tourney MVP, and they went 28-8 so that's a load of crap. One game in March doesn't define a player.

With the ninth pick in the 2018 NBA draft, the New York Knicks select Trae Young, PG, Oklahoma. Gotta have that star power (since Mikal is off the board, lol).

I was trying to convince the Knicks otherwise, but they wouldn't listen; They had to have Steph-lite.

And as an Arizona fan, you knew what the Pac-12 was last year and you knew what Arizona was supposed to be.

It's just an opinion BTW. If you disagree, it's fine.

I mean, a 4 seed after the turmoil they went through as a program isn't as dramatic of underperforming as you'd think, especially after that meltdown in the Bahamas losing 3 straight. They were playing dominant ball heading into the tourney, one off game is all it takes in March and unfortunately for them they just didn't bring it and Buffalo shot lights out. Shit happens. I agree he's far from a perfect prospects and he needs work defensively, but the perimeter isn't exactly where he struggled.

Check out this breakdown by Draft Express, they hit it on the head pretty much.

I've already decided that I'm taking him at 14.
