I may be in the minority but I think that Bethea is the type of player that could thrive in our defense because of our pass rush.

You'll surely be disappointed this year.

Definitely an outside the box pick! Definitely a great shake it up pick that gets the brain going. Only really like that to happen if he really slipped a little further, and Cooks was already gone.

The positive is a move like that would help our corners out long term. We'll need a safety long term so go ahead and get a great fit in a weak safety class. The negative is having two young safeties back there. It can work, but I personally don't like to have two young air traffic controllers back there. Communication disasters can cost a few games in a season.

Making this move puts a lot of pressure on the CB pick. We have a little more time with WR, so can take a flyer project pick there. But the corner will be thrown out there. So we'd potentially have Reid paired with a rookie safety, paired with a rookie CB with a regime that doesn't like to expose rookies.

EJ Gaines was a steal in the 4th. Nice job replenishing the secondary after so much turnover this offseason. You can probably go BPA from here on out, but that's just me.

I was hoping Breeland, Desir or EJ Gaines would last till my 2nd 4th rounder (Colts). I couldn't pass up Marcus Smith with my 1st 4th rounder. I think he will be a good pass rusher.

Overall a good draft. I didn't think Easly would fall to that pick...good one. We have the pieces to help the team to the Dance. I agree that BPA for the rest.

Him or Roberson I figured both of them would be gone by mid second. And I was trying to move up but glad they fell.

I need help with who is BPA. At this point in the draft all the players I know played at FSU last year and I don't want to pick all FSU players from here on out. So if someone could make a list on BPA for the 49ers I would appreciate it

Why?

49ers already have 3 7th round picks who wont make the team. No need to double that to 6.

Should have moved up to grab someone, drafted someone there, or trade into next years draft.
