Doink did return a couple years ago with a match against Heath Slater lol. I think Batista left because he was was burnt out and didn't like the PG direction. Least what I read in a interview a while back.

ALso heard they may insert Batista into a serious title contender right off the bat. Any guess as to if he'll be a Face or a Heel? He was a great heel, but they could go either direction with his return.

Also agree. Going to need a major fan movement though to make this happen. They did it with Daniel Bryan, but I think Doink would present a much bigger challenge.
