Spider-Man: Far from Home, great, fun flick. Really enjoyed it. There are TWO post-credit scenes and the NO SPOILERS but the first was so good, I can’t wait for the next Spidey film. Don’t go in expecting something on the grand scale of Endgame. This is about 16-year-old Peter figuring out who he is and wants to be in the wake of that and it’s so true to the classic Spidey stories. Marvel nailed this one.

Well said, it really is a great movie.

The only negative I have on the film I will tag in spoilers but non spoilery I will say it depends on how you think the movie handled "blank" as a villain.

Mysterio was easily the weakest part of the film once it's revealed he's the villain. I loved him when he was playing the fake hero but once they told us his backstory and why he was evil he went downhill fast. He's basically Vulture from the first movie. His motive for becoming a bad guy is 100% the exact same as Vulture's was. A disgruntled former employee who turns bad because he felt he was screwed over and wants revenge.

I'm not even mad that we knew all along Mysterio would be the villain but the moment they said he was fired by Tony Stark and his whole plan was to get revenge they lost me. The main knock on the MCU has always been their awful villains but damn I thought things were getting better recently, key word is thought.

No spoiler, but there was at least one scene from the trailer not in the movie- a scene that I liked.

If it wasn't in the movie then I think it's safe to say as it was in the trailer so it's already out there. Was it the one where he tells the cops he's too busy doing their jobs?

Yep, and that's not the only scene in the trailers missing from the film: the film also cut out talking to Mr. Delmar, picking up supplies from the store, picking up the passport, and Betty's leeriness of the cat in the hotel lobby. The film also has Flash call Peter "dickwad" (the line used in the US teaser trailer) instead of "loser" (the line used in the international teaser trailer).

Usually we see that because at the time the trailers are made the movies aren't 100% done so they just fill it with any scenes they see fit.

I'd also bet that because they were keeping someone's true intentions a secret and couldn't show the scenes of Spiderman and the villain against each other after the reveal they just used a bunch of extra footage to pad out the trailers.

I just don't get it. How can the 3rd attempt at a Spidey movie run be successful. Obviously it is, but I really have very little interest. I'll see it on TBS in a year or so.

Just saw last night.

The pacing was a bit off. It took too long to actually get started. I thought it was a teen-age romcom for a bit, it took so long. Then they jumped into Mysterio being the new leader of the Avengers so fast, it was too jarring. Once the reveal was made, the pacing worked better, though. I understand the pacing had to be off at the beginning because they had so much story to get through, but it was still noticeable.

The scene leading up to the reveal was really bad. Beck and Peter are sitting in a random bar, wearing their costumes without their masks right after a major elemental attack on the city? One of the major themes of the movie was Peter wanting to protect his identity, yet he casually sits at a bar exposing his face?

Peter sure of the phrase “execute them all” was so awkward when he said it, I knew it was going to mean SOMETHING. That could have been smoother.

The reveal in the second post-credit was disappointing. I first thought it was just going to be Hill. I thought they were going to reveal her in Endgame. But then the full reveal happened, and I was like, “meh”...

Despite these gripes, I REALLY enjoyed this movie. Plenty of literal LOL moments and Peters struggles with being a teen AND a superhero were believeable.
