Spider-Man 2: Far From Home (2019)

Our first major news on the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will be released on July 5, 2019, a couple of months after Avengers 4: Tom Holland just revealed on his Instagram that the title will be Far from Home.

Read into the title what you will. While we could speculate that the film might feature Spider-Man in Soul World, in space, in Wakanda, or on a parallel Earth (like the one being visited in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)...

...there actually appears to be a more mundane explanation: according to an interview Kevin Feige gave a couple months ago, the film will just send Spider-Man globetrotting, including to London. Which still raises the question of why: Is he an exchange student? On a school field trip? On some sort of Stark-sponsored scientific expedition?

I never even saw Homecoming or whatever (usually just tired of superhero movies at this point, all the same recycled formula), was that even any good?

Guess I'm kind of tired of Spiderman as well... 2 reboots in what, less than a decade? Especially when the first one (and 2nd) were great movies.

Update: according to a somewhat cagey answer by Feige, it's just summer vacation:

Well, when does that movie take place? We know it’s the summer. I think it’s summer vacation. I think he’s going to Europe with his friends.

They're not as good as you remember and don't hold up well compared to modern comic book films.

We all knew Spiderman wasn't going to stay dead but I get why some people didn't like Infinity War with shit like this. He's supposed to be ash right now and yet here's Marvel promoting his next movie, pretty fucking stupid if you ask me. They basically just spoiled the result of Endgame because we know the people who turned to dust aren't really dead and they will come back.
