Barnes has played center and played well there. They can cut Wells at any time and we'd have the vet center if they are not going to sign a FA center, Cougar.
I am not ok with Barnes being the starter. He is a solid backup, but to have him there for 16 games would spell trouble in my opnion. Besides, he is also a FA I believe

yeah i think he is a back up but the rams didn't tender him so he might not be back. I believe houston's center was cut due to cap room which was a surprise. i think he's pretty good. plenty of good centers to sign.

Wisnewski, Hudson, and Iupati are the three of the better FA's but I think we do not have the cash to put for any of them unless we dump some more contracts. Kendricks, Long, Barksdale, Wells, and Joseph would get us some space.

I don't think the Rams can afford anyone those guys. Spotrac has you guys at $3,461,045 without figuring in the $4,701,876 needed for your draft pool. But I am not sure how accurate that is since I haven't been following the Rams cap situation much.

Iupati is going to cost anywhere from $7-10 mil AAV
Hudson is going to cost anywhere from $5-7 mill AAV
Wisnewski is going to cost anywhere from $5-6 mil AAV

The Cardinals as well as a few other team are going to be in on Hudson & Wisnewski, so I expect the bidding to increase there cost.

The Rams cap situation sucks right now. But 2016 looks like there will be a lot of money freed up.

And to be very clear, we cannot be spectators in a game that does not start until Tuesday!! Just saying.

We do not have the players, cap room or draft picks to make the deals people are making now. Just relax.

Can't sign anyone until Tuesday at 4pm, but can start negotiating today. No visits allowed until Tuesday though.

Well, the reality is that whenever the Rams go after an interior lineman, its always a year or two after his prime and the Rams end up wasting money. At some point, they have to develop interior linemen. Wisnewski is a guy that could break that trend but I see him being a guy a few teams will go after.

We are not going to sign many. Maybe one or two. We just don't have the cap space.

Cougar, you pull that stunt again, you're going to sit for a month. You are outside the Negativity thread. Name-calling a player is not permitted even it is a joke. You are now on probation for the next week starting today.

Don't repeat his mistake Smed by quoting Cougar.

Ya, I kind of thought that was borderline, that's why I didn't mention any particular names,:)

Would have loved to see Marshall in a ram uniform, 30 or not I believe Jay Cutler and Tresman had something to do with his down season. Those broken ribs at the end of the season didn't help either. It just sucks being cash strapped another year.

These numbers being thrown around are crazy. We are more than 1-2 players away from the next level. Let the big names get big money and still upgrade at OLine and OLB with "reasonable" FA's and draft. I wont be real hard to improve over Joseph and Wells without breaking the bank.

I've heard about competition for Hudson, but not much about Wisniewski; is he going to be attainable?

Not much talk yet about guards either, other than Herremans to the Colts.

Marshall does have Borderline Personality Disorder which is a legitimately difficult condition to deal with in a locker room.
