They gave him hell in the next episode after he quit. LOL.

No, that's the adventure club. We're the super adventure club. We have sex with children.

Its a very formulaic show but you could put its best 20 episodes up against just about any comedy

Formulaic? I guess but they really do say shit with their show. The style is often similar and they have had a few misses every season, but the ones on topics worth doing are worth a watch.

I have never seen an episode of this show and likely never will, just looks juvenille and stupid to me.

Watch 5-10 episodes and then come back with your opinion. Until you know something about it, your blanket statement speaks more about you than it does about the show.

It is actually one of the smarter shows on TV.

I made the mistake of watching the episode before going to bed. I say its a mistake because I laughed so hard that I couldn't go to sleep for over an hour afterward. The whole ep was great but the biggest laughs for me were the Princess Kenny anime bit and the reporter showing up at the Thompson house mid-coitus only to reveal the Thompsons are siblings. Also, SP has likely ruined the GoT's theme for me

Doesn't say much for today's TV if South Park is the best that they can come up with.

Watch an episode on a legitimate issue and show me something that does that better. I'd love to watch it.

It really is. A lot of people might not get what South Park is trying to make fun of.

1. Stan and/or Kyle do something that is normal and childlike.
2. A leap is taken with the childlike activity that is topical and current.
3. Town overreacts usually clearing way for Randy or Cartmen depending on if the humor is self deprecating.
4. Everyone acts like an idiot and toilet humor ensues.
5. Everyone comes together and the audience realizes that everyone was wrong about topical issue
6. The takeaway is that everyone is stupid

Yes, seriously. I could put at least 50 episodes that Ive seen into that template.

The main takeaway from South Park is that everyone is stupid in their own way

The show and its creators are brilliant.

I'm sure that those who say otherwise, are well respected professionals in the field, who offer up brilliance of their own on a weekly basis to millions of viewers, so their criticism, is probably warranted.

Everyone is stupid. But this has never once been the point.

Love My South Park

When you call something the best on TV, you're comparing to the things that are on TV and not to the things you have done.

I like South Park. I just haven't watched it in about 4 years (what was the season they made fun of High School Musical?) Its somewhat high brow because it has social allegories but its intentionally made to be accessible. I'm sure the average person who reads a newspaper should get most of the jokes.

You have missed some good stuff then.

The Tiger Woods episode was great.

Food Network/Shake-weight episode was epic.

plenty more.

As far as comedies go, it's up there...it's longevity and continued relevance, must lend some credence to the overall product, no?

Plus, they did Team America
