What was his won/loss record and era in 2019?
Do they even keep those stats any more? I'm worried about his exit velocity , WAR and FIPWhat was his won/loss record and era in 2019?
I agree, does his record (won-loss, ERA) the past 5 seasons warrant almost 24 million a year? What was his won/loss record and era in 2019?

Yeah I guess. The Phillies think so.
His won-loss was the exact same as teammate Jacob Degrom.I agree, does his record (won-loss, ERA) the past 5 seasons warrant almost 24 million a year?
Unfortunately, I do trust your instincts on dealing with and recognizing albatross contractsLol
This is worse than the Harper deal. One season out of five he's made it thru the year. And was barely average doing it.
I'm 100% certain that Wheeler will be lights out (or fairly close to it) for the Phillies after signing this deal. I'm also 100% certain that if Wheeler signed this same deal with the Mets, he'd blow his arm out in the first season of the deal and the Mets would be on the hook for the remaining $$$ on the deal.
He’s got something extra in the tank. A more analytically inclined team should pull it out.
