Witten is a bad mismatch for the Broncos fast, but small LBers. Poor open field tackling and younger guys out of position a lot today.
If Miller was playing, no way Romo has that big of a day. Refs let the Cowboys O-line get away with holding all day.
Dez Bryant pushed off on that TD catch and no whistle.
13 points came off of turnovers and we more than likely would have scored on those drives.
We dodged a bullet and hopefully it is a wake up call for this team.
thought you cats said you weren't worried about the Chiefs...
hehe, just messin' wif ya. helluva game, though...

Ifs and blaming the refs on a terrible defensive performance.
The pass defense was ranked pretty low even before this game.
I agree the other teams pass attempts does inflate those numbers it doesnt give Denver's pass a defense a pass so far this year. I agree it should get better with Miller and Champ back. After Witten and Dez Bryant and an average o line at best for Dallas there isnt much there and they did whatever they wanted. Well have to agree to disagree that the pass defense isnt a concern. A 15 point lead is a big lead and the defense couldnt put it away by stopping them but they did get the 1 big stop at the end of the game. On to next week. Go Broncos!!
Chiefs offense is not capable of scoring that many points in a game.

A team has 4 out of its 5 best players of D not on the field for around 3 quarters, 2 not at all, and you are surprised by this? Really?

The Chiefs actually remind me of the 2009 Broncos. Great defense, though this defense is not as good as the Broncos was through those first 6 games. This Chiefs offense is a little better than that Broncos offense, though, so it balances out.
A team that can score consistently and has a solid defense will give the Chiefs problems.
The Chiefs will struggle against the Broncos and Chargers. They also have the Colts remaining on their schedule and even the Cleveland Browns are not looking like a pushover at this point. Still, I don't see them any worse than 10-6, and likely better.
I do think they are good enough to split with the Broncos, so hopefully we have two of our better games against them.
Relax.
Did they play poorly? Yes. But one game does not define a season.
At one point,we had 6 starters missing out there today. Combine all the other factors and you have a perfect storm.
Missed tackles, out of position, young inexperienced players.
And yes. Usually calls and non calls will balance out over a game, but there was some blatant holding going on that was not getting called. Refs will let a little holding go, But Romo had all day back there. And the 2nd TD by Dez Bryant he pushed off in the endzone. Should have been Offensive PI. When non calls occur on a scoring play, the poor officiating affects the outcome of the game. We got the short end of the stick by the refs in that game.
The biggest thing you should be pointing to is the turnovers. In a shootout like this, and both offenses scoring at will, you have to protect the ball better. Colquitt didn't punt once today and the Cowboys only punted once. Every reason to believe we score on those possessions instead of turning the ball over and giving the Cowboys a short field.
