Meanwhile, did anyone have Jeff Heath in their “Nail in the Coffin” pool this afternoon?

Anyone?

Stephen Jones said that the injury to Dak will not stop seeking a long term contract
"As far as Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones is concerned, Dak Prescott's season-ending right ankle injury does nothing to change the organization's thinking about the quarterback.

"Absolutely not," Jones said Monday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "He's our future. He's special. If anyone can overcome anything, it would be Dak. This is something that our doctors feel good that he'll overcome and come back better than ever."

Got ya down Stephen.

I don't try to hide my age. My AVI tells ya that so I thought I would share a little humor with you.
In my football days things were much the same. Tackling, blocking etc except for one thing. The QB was the only one who had a single bar face mask. You did not ask if you could have one. If you did, you were considered a weenie. Not kidding. Only the QB. Never did figure that out.

Don't know for certain... but wasn't Joe Theismann the last NFL QB to wear the single bar? For some reason that sticks out to me.

Hey your age is beginning to show a bit. Ha. Not sure if he was the last but he did wear one. Seems like Roger did too but my memory may be stretching it a little.

I figured my vivid recollections of the Ice Bowl and that 1970 Cards/Cowboys game gave my age away long ago...

Yes Theismann was the last non-kicker to wear the single bar.

The last player was Scott zplayer

On Oct. 7, 2007, the single bar made its final appearance on an NFL field when Scott Player of the Browns punted five times in a 34-17 loss to the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
