I saw this Jackass said we are in "win now mode" for next season. No one wants to hear this horseshit after his all in bullcrap last year. I think the problem for Jerry is that even the media doesn't care anymore. Last year it was "All In" and Dak's contract and the Cowboys were still in the national spotlight during Super Bowl week. But he has cried wolf one too many times. After the Luka trade and the Cowboys having a losing record, the Cowboys are getting crickets even locally, everyone sees him for what he is now, a piss poor Owner/GM with a piss poor right hand man that's running his mouth because his team is irrelevant

first off if you need to keep telling people you are in “win now mode” it’s a pretty sure sign you aren’t winning anything any time soon And that you probably shouldn’t be in win now mode. It’s nothing more than Jerry trying to sell the fact that he didn’t throw this team into the shitter when in fact the best thing he could have done was let Dak and a couple of the older guys go and start over. Heck we ended up taking the year off anyway.we could have taken it off with a purpose by not signing Dak and trading guys like Martin and Tank and cutting the safeties and then having a shit ton of cap space and draft picks to come back string this year. But instead we throw away a 4th rounder on a shitty WR and come into this year at best the same as we came into last year on paper.

second the key to making a run at a Super Bowl is starting over every once in a while in order to get younger and better. One of this team’s many problems is they would rather be pretty good but never great every year than to take a season or two off to re-tool and try and be great because they refuse to ever not go for it even though their incompetence precludes them from ever going for it
