I am thinking Denver. IMO their defense while not great is decent enough to stop Seattle. And IMO Manning has the weapons and the experience needed to win the big game. Denver wins.

Yeah I agree that Denver's defense isn't great. After all they let New England score 16 points on them.

Denver's D is about as good as New Orleans, imo, and NO did do a pretty good job containing Seattle so its certainly possible especially if the weather gets bad

Awww look I got a new puppy following me around. But with 218 posts I am left wondering if this is a Hammer alt, after all he appears to be a Pats hater.

If the Super Bowl were today ....

This is Met Life Stadium today.

in 10 days, and this could slight change of course, the forecast calls for 5-10 MPH winds, high 35, low 19.

Should be in the 20s at kickoff. Cold but no arctic blizzard and should not affect the passing game too much.

That's a great point and Denver has the better offense.

Did you watch the first game against NO? They didn't even slow down the Hawks, it was 34-7. In the playoff game, Seattle got a 16 point lead and sat on it through the second half just trying to chew up clock, not because NO was doing anything spectacular on defense.

Nope, didn't see that one. I do think Seattle is going to win but its not hard to imagine that Denver's Dline is going to give Seattle's Oline some issues.

Well do you agree that the Denver offense is far superior to the NO offense? Because that can change the responsibilities of a defense.

Yeah but San Diego had the worst secondary in the playoffs and New England's secondary was nearly as bad without Talib.

Because Seattle's O-line is not very good, I agree that any D-line could cause them fits, but they have played against the best D-lines in the NFL this year (multiple times in the NFC West too) and have found ways to win. I think they will be fine.

I do have a question for any Denver fans: Who is going to cover Harvin?

I agree that Denver has a better offense, but I think the Saints have a better defense.

If Harvin is 100%, which is doubtful, and he can get through a series without injury, which is doubtful, but if he is and gets a lot of snaps I imagine DRC.

Why would he not be 100%? It will be 3 weeks since his concussion? Do you think DRC can actually effectively cover a healthy Harvin? I do not.

Statistically, Denver had a better post season scoring defense than the Saints allowing only 16.5 ppg average in the divisional round and conference championship game. 17 to San Diego and 16 to NE.

Seattle has had pretty close to the same scoring defense ppg averge. 15 to the Saints and 17 to SF for 16 ppg.

Harvin has seen very little playing time this season. No way he is at peak performance or in game shape and no way he is 100%.

And yes, DRC can stay with Harvin. I never said he shuts him down, but he has been great this year and fantastic in the playoffs so far.

Do you really think that Percy Harvin gives Seattle an edge over Denver in the passing game?

Are you really comparing the Saints two road playoff games vs the Broncos two home games, as if they are somehow related? :L

Wilson has had to improv more than anyone else this year. The gameplan has always been to blitz/pressure him on the edge and that limits him significantly but if you miss the blitz, it usually leads to a big play.

This game is going to come down to a few key things:

1) Lynch. IF he runs for 100+ the Seahawks win. The Broncos are going to give Wilson some one on one looks assuming he can't hit the receiver. Basically because he can't.

2) Peyton Manning vs. the Seattle pass rush. All the pass protection in the world is designed to give you just 3 seconds. If the rush takes longer than that to get to Manning, he'll carve them up.

3) Penalties. Seattle is the most penalized team in the league - and that speaks to lack of discipline. They had 8 on Sunday compared to just 4 for Denver.

4) Turnovers. Do I really need to explain this?
