By "didn't exactly look great" I mean they're a power house team at home and one that squeaks by teams like Houston or St. Louis on the road. Their margin of victory was twice as high at home and against NFC West teams, who they saw both home and away, their margin of victory is significantly more than twice as high at home.

It looks to me that the "12th man" is a significant factor in their wins.

For what it's worth, that 12th man was noticeably absent in SB XL in Detroit.

Oh really? The stadium was filled with fans from the team that was less than 300 miles away from home as opposed to the team that was 2400 miles away? You don't say...

Easy, defense wins championships since it's more consistent so Seattle takes care of business. You mad bro?

You really root for your college heroes that hardcore at the next level on teams you don't otherwise root for?

I do the same. I've supported the Seahawks against every team except the Bears ever since they drafted Russell Wilson. I'm not as big of a fan of Ball as Russell, but I'd be happy to see him get a ring also.

Yeah but they didn't exactly look great in those road wins and a lot of them were against really bad teams.

Really? Seattle's road wins were:

By 5 against 12-4 Carolina
By 3 against 2-14 Houston
By 12 against 10-6 Arizona
By 5 against 7-9 St. Louis (who went 6-4 outside the toughest division in FB)
By 23 against 4-12 Atlanta
By 23 against 6-10 NY Giants

So your sample size of close wins over bad teams is one game, Houston. They actually had more close wins against bad teams at home (Tennessee and Tampa).

I think the NFC Champ game was big for Wilson. He doesn't really play from behind too often (at all, really) and he was able to get some scores

He is actually really good when they get down. I think that is part of the reason why they get so tight and conservative with the calls. When they need points, he gets them.

Houston and St. Louis are both bad teams and Carolina was playing lousy when Seattle came to town.

There really isn't that much wiggle room here. The Seahawks play considerably better at home and the difference was even more pronounced against teams they saw at home and on the road, albeit that's a small sample size. They blew out Atlanta and NY on the road but they blew out San Fran, Jacksonville, Minnesota, New Orealns, and St. Louis at home.

It's not surprising that they play better at home but the difference between their home and away play is so pronounced that I think it's a real factor in New Jersey.

I love Russell Wilson, what a class act!! If it weren't for Dick Sherman, I'd probably cheer for the NFC West.

So my pick is Denver. Hoping all of Manning's TD's are over Sherman!

I wouldn't group those teams together.

The 6 reasons for Seattle looking a lot better @Seattle against the Rams is that 1) the Rams are much better at home, 2) Seattle had members of its oline injured for the game in STL, 3)the Seahawks played much better run defense in the 2nd game for reasons, 4) The Rams were missing Jake Long and Tavon Austin in the 2nd game, 5)the Rams had a costly pick 6, 6) the Rams got an ejection and a bunch of personal foul calls after Lynch knocked a defender's helmet off and then proceeded to stiff arm the guy without the helmet

I'm not really sure its a massive difference between their road and home play. It might be worth 2-3 points tops.

You're not sure if double the points differential is massive?

I don't think playing in New York is a major disadvantage for either team unless its really windy or really rainy in which case I'm going with the team that is built for that.
