As great as CJ is, and as big of a win as it was yesterday(relatively speaking), huge games from CJ aren't always a good thing. Out his 10 biggest games in his career,(the ten times he's caught ten or more passes) yesterday was one of TWO victories. The other, at Tampa back in '10. And that wasn't with Staff throwing him the ball. The other 8 games, we lost. Im sorry I don't get on board with the love of big stats. I want wins. Ill take the big stat days, when they come with W's, but Im never going to partake in hollering at Linehan to just chuck it to CJ. It's actually counter productive more times than not.

I don't know how significant that is. First, yards = big games more than # catches and a lot of those catches were in games when the Lions were way behind trying to play catch up quickly. So I'm going to say this as simply as possible. If Jerry Rice was in his prime, like CJ is now, if you would rather have Rice on your team then more power to ya. But it's my opinion then that you ate way to many paint chips as a kid and your parents should have moved away from those power lines.

Jerry rice's entire 65 year career didn't have as many highlight catches as what CJ has the last two weeks. Best catch and run WR ever? you bet he was, but if you think Rice could put up numbers like what CJ has on the shit teams he's played on then we are a very long ways from being in agreement.

Were 4-6 in his 10 biggest yardage games. The two mentioned before, the sweetass game at Oakland two years ago(I loved that game) and the famous Browns game from '09 being the other two wins.

Rice is still greatest of all time hands down since none of saw that guy in the 40's and 50's that had more receiving yards than most teams year in and year out. However Megatron could end his career today and be in the HOF. It would be the Gale Sayers precedent. If a guy has a 5 year career and in that career showed that he was one of the best ever at his position he will be a HOF guy. No receiver has had two years back to back like Johnson just had. If this year continues he will have the most dominant 3 year stretch by a receiver ever. He is the most dominant receiver to ever play the game, but GOAT requires you to sustain greatness for a very long time. I don't think that Megatron has to beat Rice's all time records for there to be real conversation that he is better than Rice, because Rice was able to be pretty good for a very long time.

Came to congratulated you guys in winning a great game. I'm sorry he's no where close to passing Jerry no disrespect intended. He still need to give me 5-7 yrs of doing what he's doing to pass Moss and even T.O. To pass Jerry he needs to give me at-least 15 yrs and about 2 rings and then maybe he's the best of all times. Last year's season on a team that struggled is the greatest in history for a WR. Just add up the Superbowls and when I say Superbowls, I mean Superbowl wins (not just showing up at the dance and losing) Rice and Smith were on stellar TEAMS! back in the day media didn't exist. Rice would be the #2 on Detroit with CJ and Smith with would be the #2 behind Barry on the Lions.

CJ has to maintain this elite level for another decade before we can seriously open the discussion as to greatest of all time. I hope CJ's body holds out for that long. Yeah that's what Moss would do when he couldn't outrun the contact... look for a place to fall down. Of course he was not built for the contact like Calvin and I love to see him break tackles but that stuff is going to catch up to him.
