Nicholson hasn't busted a grape since the Oakland game. Dix for a 4th rd pk. Not a bad move at all. I'm fuckin shocked.

It's not surprising in that the Packers had telegraphed they would not be extending Clinton-Dix, but it is surprising because he's been an every-snap player this season. Jermaine Whitehead, who just got roasted by Todd Gurley in Week 8, is the next man up for the Pack. With Montae Nicholson struggling mightily opposite D.J. Swearinger in Washington, Clinton-Dix will immediately slide in as a starter. The No. 21 overall pick of the 2014 draft is a free agent at season's end.

Not what I said at all. You said that they had to pick up Peterson - they didn't. I also was suggesting that they don't need to trade high picks for some expensive player. Dix is relatively cheap - if they can somehow keep him long term this could be a great move.

Nice to have yet another Bama player on the defense.​

Oh yeah. We will see but having another good safety (& yet another Bama player) should help an already effective defense.

I like the addition. He's kind of a rangy, decent speed, a play maker sought of safety . Montae does not have those type of traits. But Stroman is another weak link in our defense armor. Maybe HA HA can have an effect on Stoman in some way of fashion.

I did say they needed to combat the WR pick ups with Peterson. Thought that would be a much better move (I'm a Dunbar fan) unless of course, the cost was too high then the answer would be no. I see Dunbar as average but getting better and I see Norman gone next year so...CB made more sense to me or even D. Buchanon but I didn't see the Dix trade. Makes us stronger defensively all though, I don't know how much and a possible rental.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to have Peterson but at what cost? Dix was acquired for a mid-rd pick & we will see if he is on the team past this season. I honestly never felt that Peterson was going to be traded to anyone. It just seems like the trendy thing at this time for elite players on bad teams to make noise about being traded. Good that some teams don't overreact in those situations.
