I admit that I'm a little biased, but stats are overrated. You have to consider the system they're in. Alabama is totally different than Baylor. Let's pretend for a moment, that RG3, or JF played for Bama. Do you think they'd have the same stats?

McCarron should have been the front runner all year, imo. I know it's not a career trophy, but dang, pat the kid on the back. He's been great.

I think they would still have better stats than McCarron. Saban isn't stupid and he would take advantage of talents like that. Would he run uptempo all the time like those two did at their respective schools? No, but they are both better college QB's than McCarron and Saban would take advantage of that. It's not like he didn't throw it around some at LSU when he had better QB's. McCarron is not a Heisman QB. Ingram was a way more important player to those Bama teams than McCarron is to the current Bama team. Most people still argued he didn't deserve it either because the rest of the team was so good and Richardson was just as effective in relief.

I just checked 3 mock drafts released over the last week (one by SI, two by CBS)

they have undefeated Fresno's QB Derek Carr going 1st Round (#4/#10/#21 overall to Vikings/Browns/Cards).
Carr is currently:
#1 in NCAA in yds of total offense per game
#1 in NCAA in passing yds per game
#1 in NCAA in TDs
he has thrown 39 TD to 4 INT
he has also run for 104 yarda (3.15 ypc) and 2 TD
he has also punted 6 times (33.83 yds per punt)

He has also played almost the entire game in all of Fresno St's games. Not to mention level of competition.

Yet he still barely has better numbers than Manziel. We get hype fatigue from a player getting too much coverage. Manziel is falling victim to that. He is still the best player in college football. I don't care if he played like shit against LSU. Every Heisman winner has a bad game.

Bama runs a 50/50 balanced attack. Just look at out passing vs rushing yardage over the past 4 years, they are the same!

No he's not. Against a good team like LSU, he fell flat on his face. Even when he had a good game against Alabama, all he did was throw the ball up and his receivers come down with it. It's funny because everyone keeps on downing AJ because of his team, yet Manziel throws the ball up and his receivers come down with it, and he's the best player in college football?

:bullshit:

He has 13 interceptions on the year already. And many of them were just absolute horrible throws. And those INT's weren't his only horrible throws.

He was overrated last year, he's overrated this year. He can scramble and extend plays better than anyone for sure, but that's about it.

Pure stats
Total yards Total TD's and total games team has played

Best QB's

Winston 3289 yds 35 tds 11 games
Petty 3524 yds 36tds 10 games
Manziel 4202 yds 40 tds 11 games
Bridgewater 3305 yds 25 tds 11 games
Mariota 3656 yds 36 tds 11 games
Boyd 3505 yds 37 tds 11 games
Miller 2364 yds 24 tds 11 games
McCarron 2404 yds 23 tds 11 games

Best RB's

Williams 2073 yds 16 tds 11 games
Carey 1732 yds 17 tds 11 games
Sankey 1833 yds 18 tds 11 games
Abdullah 1692 yds 9 tds 11 games
Gordon 1380 yds 12 tds 11 games

Best WR's

Cooks 1746 yds 17 tds 11 games
Evans 1314 yds 12 tds 11 games
Goodley 1204 yds 12 tds 10 games
Robinson 1344 yds 6 tds 11 games
Richardson 1296 yds 10 tds 11 games
Lockett 1109 yds 8 tds 11 games
Matthews 1255 yds 5 tds 11 games

Manziel, Petty, Williams, and Cooks have had the best seasons. I would go Manziel Heisman, Williams Doak Walker, and Cooks Biletnikof.

I'd like to see a breakdown of actual quarters played with the total stats averaed into that! McCarron has say the 2nd Hals of a few games this year!

Texas A&M has one WR that is a lock for the NFL that is playing a major role this year. Most of their WR talent is redshirting or playing very sparingly outside of Evans. He's thrown for 3500 yds and Evans has about a third of that. Throwing it up for grabs to gifted WR's isn't backed with facts. Does Matt Stafford have the same knock because he played with A.J. Green and Calvin Johnson?

Pretty much all of those QB's have missed lots of time this year because of blow outs.

Not to mention, whenever you fuckers are making excuses as to why Missouri and Texas A&M have done so well in the SEC talent upgrades is always the reason. So is Manziel great or not? Make up your mind. I think he is. A&M isn't near as talented this year as some of you think. Their OL, Manziel, and Evans is all they have this year contributing that is next level good.

Using just the first 3 quarters. Passing only to give McCarron an advantage.

McCarron 2133 yds 19 tds
Manziel 2914 yds 26 tds
Petty 3086 yds 22 tds (10 games)
Winston 2939 yds 30 tds
Mariota 2803 yds 21 tds
Boyd 3052 yds 27 tds
Bridgewater 2802 yds 22 tds
Miller 1474 yds 18 tds

Even stacking the deck in his favor and leaving off rushing contributions of dual threat QB's he isn't near the top even without the 4th quarter. McCarron is a good QB and a winner but he is not a Heisman winner. He doesn't carry his team enough.

Have you actually watched any of his games? Not backed with facts? Are you joking? Just watch him play.
