Say what? 2 drops on 163 targets in 18, 4 drops on 150 in '19...dude has perhaps the lowest drop rate of any WR's in this generation.

I watched him play a decent amount last year. No way he only had 4 drops even if that’s what the stats say.

I'd take Zeke.

Michael Thomas has been great with Brees. That's about over imo. Not a rare athlete and without a super accurate QB I don't see similar production from him down the road when whoever takes over.

Very true, Thomas owners could be in very a rude awakening once Brees has left the building. It'll depend on where they go after that. Thomas did okay with TeddyB last year, however, TeddyB is a decent NFL QB, the next Saints guy may not be, and that could translate to 2-4 years of mediocrity, beginning in '21.

Teddy was a dream scenario backup. The guy turned down a starting gig to wait behind Brees. Crazy circumstances. Glad it worked out for him, I'm a fan.

If Winston stays on and takes over it will hurt Thomas. Jameis is great for a Mike Evans, Calvin Johnson or Jimmy Graham type. Big, go and get it bodies. And Drew is perfect for Thomas.

how about Aaron goes to replace Brees,....hmmm....
Brees might not be the only QB retiring.
Other teams may be transitioning in 2021, and maybe not as voluntary or as planned as N'Orleans.
PIT
IND
LV
NYG
CHI
WSH
CAR
DET
etc

I could see a bidding war for Rodgers.

Also factoring in the plethora of very good, young WR later in drafts, as opposed to the empty barrel of RB after six rounds.

I want the best, safest player with my first pick in a dynasty draft.

That is rarely going to be a running back in a PPR format, unless he is at the start of his career like Barkley.

Barkley just proved he isn't safe. I don't really care about 2023 right now.

What did he do?

rumbled to a back end RB1 finish after missing 4 games while playing a mediocre team.

seems about as bullet proof as it gets for a RB, imo

not sure what (if any) knocks can be made against Barkley at this stage in his career

What did he do?

He missed games. Dropped 40 carries and 40 catches and 300 yards of each.

Moving forward, Barkley is great. Don't get me wrong. Just saying, "safe" is pretty malleable term in fantasy.

Ahh. Got it.
Yeah, i think it was his rookie season, as good as it was, he led the league in rushes for negative yards. Combined, it was over 100 yards lost.
Think Tarik Cohen was second on the list but no where near 100 yards lost.

I'd go Thomas then Zeke then Hopkins then Cook them Kamara. But they're all great options.

People knocked him for that coming out of college too and I always thought it was silly. The dude's on another level as an athlete, his occasional dancing is worth it.

IDK
I mentioned Cohen was second in the negative yards category... Its tough enough for some offenses to gain positive yards. But when its 2nd-and-6 and your running back loses 4 yards making it 3rd-and 10... that cant help a poor offense.

To me the dancing is only worth it if it helps gain positive yards. Tom Brady doesnt take a lot of sacks because it loses yards. Would he be considered "on another level" if he did and his offense was average?

But didn't Barkley also lead the league in runs over 20yds his rookie yr?

I'd take the negatives if he keeps pumping out those big clips between them.

And also, giants as a whole were awful in eli's farewell tour, except Barkley

@HaroldSeattle is in a lot more dynasty leagues than me, so he can probably give a better overall perspective, but to me the biggest difference between elite running backs and elite wide receivers is that it's always easier to trade for wide receivers than it it running backs. Getting somebody to trade one of the elite running backs is damn near impossible so I'd always like to have one of them if you get the chance.

barkley reminds me a bit of CJ2k......

-1, 1, 3, 2, 25.

3, 12 -2, 1, 4, 1, 1, 3, 37

14 carries 90 yards

62 yards on 2 carries, and 75 of the 90 on 3........

threat everytime he touches the ball.......but alot of duds.

full disclosure. I need to review barkleys numbers and may be totally wrong about that.
