Nah we have used wireless charging in the past, its a neat gimmick but totally not necessary

I took the time to switch over to some magnetic cords where the tip stays in so you dont jack up the port and i have those all over already have Type C cuz like i said i got a chineese knockoff

I love wireless charging although Google did act like dicks on the Pixel and only made the "fast charging" version of it on their Google branded wireless stand which is ridiculously overpriced. I caught it half off on black friday last year though so I bought it. It takes around 2 to 2.5 hours for it to fully charge instead of that ridiculously slow version of wireless charging that was prevalent a few years ago.

Yea that is part of why i dont like it. But i have power ports literally built into my coudh i have them everywhere i only charge my phone right now every 3rd day as it is and it is over night so having fast charge wireless was meh but yea i was annoyed when i saw that too.

To each their own. Make sure you give the call screen feature a try. It is fucking awesome for robocalls and numbers you are suspicious of. The "night sight"camera feature isn't as exclusive of a feature as it was a few months ago but it is still the best version of it....so make sure you give that a try if for no other reason but to marvel at it like me. It's amazing how little light it needs to make a discernible photo. Like literally much much better than your eyes.

Yea i saw that i intend to use it, ive used the feature as i use GV for my home phone (landline) service The camera was one of the biggest sellers i missed having a kick ass camera I am not sure if the Otterbox defender interferes with the wireless charging we may try it down the road but for now it wasnt worth it when we just dropped 1300 on the phones with taxes and shipping and another whatever on the cases figured we would live with them a bit and see how we felt about the upgrade plus blackfriday coming up

The charging stands started out at $80 but seems like they have dropped to $60 now. I, personally, wouldn't pay anymore than $40 for one though. They should have started at $40 with sales down to $30. That would have been reasonable. $80 is fucking retarded.

Yea that is how i felt, I mean yea i get that the technology has gotten better with more watts than my old wireless charging things but still 80 bucks for a charger because you had to make it special to sense it properly pffft lol but like i said the camera and unlimited photo storage were big sellers for it plus i kinda just wanted it

Since you are the expert. I used to have a sweet camera feature on my windows phone where it would take a couple seconds for the photo and pick the best clearest image to be the still and still have the ability to view the motion capture of the photo... is there anything like that on this thing?

Yes. Turn motion capture on and it will take little snippets of video, then will recommend the best shot but ultimately let you pick the individual frame that you want to keep, then it will process the image and make it look great. I'd post pictures but the compressing of it to put on the site would fuck up the quality of it.

Gotcha, yea the windows phone would automatically pick best but i might have to try that feature out. It would also auto steady

Yeah... Honestly, almost all phones have great cameras nowadays. It's amazing how far that tech has came recently.

How you liking your Pixel so far?

Dark mode and dark wallpapers help conserve battery life too on OLED screened phones fwiw. The more black pixels on the screen there are the less energy the phone is using to power the screen.

Im digging the phone so far (the power saving thing is just common sense ) that was the first thing i told my wife, cant wait til gmai and everything else gets the dark mode theme

so far we are still getting pictures combined into 1 google drive/photos account so now we dont have to wonder who took which photo with the unlimited original format we are taking full advantage (also uploading the last 10 years of photos and videos from the server through the pixel to take advantage of it, at least that is the plan havent started yet)
