Excerpt

The real shame of Griffin's injury is the first two series showed the "old RG III." The zone option came twice with long rushing gains, and he looked like his 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year self. Coach Jay Gruden conceded the game plan was changed after Washington's opening 17-6 loss to include Griffin's skill set.

^^^^. This is the part that just kills me for Griff and us, as fans of Griffs electric talent.

Excerpt

“I thought we was mediocre,” defensive end Jason Hatcher said, noting that the defense should have generated more turnovers. “We’ve got a long ways to go, we haven’t done nothing. We can’t get high on this game because we’ve got a hard one coming up next week. We can enjoy the win and enjoy what we did, but we haven’t done nothing at all. We need to hone in on what we have to do and stay hungry. That’s what I’m going to do, and what the rest of the leaders on this team are going to do.”

Gotta love the addition of Hatcher and his attitude to this team :thumb:

Yep. He started that game doing everything people were bitching about. They ran the read option. He made the plays with his legs, and yes slide! He threw it down field and twice hit guys perfectly. Hell how many guys in the entire league can make the play he made on the one where he was injured?

That's what makes this so sickening. If the haters can't at least acknowledge that there was a good chance Griff would have enjoyed similar success yesterday then I don't know what more to say

I was going to comment on the play he got injured on. We discussed how when he scrambles he doesn't look down the field to find open receivers, well on the play he proved everyone wrong.
