Is there anyone out there thinking the Sixers aren't taking Simmons?
I think that would be a mistake by Philly. He's probably best suited as a 3.I've read some articles suggesting that the Sixers draft Simmons and play him at point.
I watched Simmons play a bunch of times at LSU and there is nothing to suggest he has the ball handling, passing skills or quickness to play PG in the NBA.
I mean, he's an OK passer for a big man, but, he has nowhere near the vision of a LeBron.

No, he wasn't. He played nobodies at Davidson. Hield played in a real conference. I'm not saying Hield is as good a prospect or not, I was commenting on your age specific declaration. Younger doesn't mean higher ceiling.
Simmons to Philly is basically a lock. The Sixers are already shopping Okafor and Noel, so that tells you all you need to know. They intend on taking that 6-10 guy that can play point forward or run the break as a smallball center.
Murray is also more versatile. Some project him as a PG
Hield is a better scorer right now. He's a better shooter set and off the dribble with better ball handling skills. It all depends on whether you think Murray will be better eventually, he might, he might not. Hield is more ready now, and there's really no reason to think he can't continue to improve given the leaps and bounds he's made over the last couple of years. That will take some work. Right now, he's a scorer. He can get his own shot, has good range and can get to the basket.

Yeah. I don't see the PG thing either, but he is more explosive than Hield for sure.
Also, I won't deny that Hield is more ready. Thing is, when you are picking top 4, you are not looking for a good player, you are looking for a potentially great one. Hield is safer for sure, but the ceiling just isn't high enough to justify taking him over Murray.

I think it may come down to which postions he can defend effectively. From what I've read, Simmons has the potential to a Magic Johnson type that can play all 5 positions. Assuming he can improve his jump shot.

how the hell do u expect Ingram to do anything in this league with his size. if he was a skinny point guard like AI or Curry when they were rookies, you say ok, they're skinny but fast and quick. this dude is what, a small forward? unless he's gonna be a catch and shoot player, he might be a small contributor.
P.S. From what i'm hearing, you may be right about Dunn going #3 regardless of who has the pick, to include Boston.Agreed. I haven't really see the kid play but from what I've read he is really fluid for a big man. Dunno if he could defend the point especially a Westbrook like point but maybe.
