Waiters is makkng that trade look very good for OKC. But, they have a lot of SG's now.

Waiters is shooting 40% he is useless in all aspects if his shot isn't falling and he shoots a low %

Jr smith is clearly better and outperforming him by far so far...and shump has yet to play

Cavs beat the clippers without love...another good game from jr smith

Leking with a beast game

If lebron didn't miss 10 games 25% of the season and they went 5-5 they would be on track for 52 wins even with all thr new pieces, trades and coaches

They play in the East, it's a weak conference as its been for the last few years. Lebron playing in those 10 games doesn't mean they go 5-5. It's not like the Cavs have been stellar with him in the lineup despite them beating the Clippers last night. Cavs fans (mainly Wiggy) were saying you guys would win 66 games. All of a sudden you're beating your chest about a hypothetical situation where you could've won 52 games this season. Meanwhile, you're sitting at 21-20 and you're team still looks like a discombobulated mess, particularly on defense.

I get your point and its a fair one, but I feel like people are underrating how well they have done recently (with LeBron in the lineup).

Since their 5 - 7 start... the Cavs are 15 - 4 when LeBron plays. It's not spectacular... but I think its much better than people realize.

JR Smith is shooting 41% with the Cavs, he's personally admitted that his game hasn't been the same since surgically repairing his knee. He's injury prone and not great on defense. He shoots a pretty shitty FT percentage for a shooter.

You guys will take your homer goggles off soon.

Part of the problem for the Cavs, fair or not, is that this big 3 is always going to be compared to the Heat big 3. On those few occasions when Lebron was out in Miami, the Heat were still able to win a many of those games. When he has been out this season, these guys turn into last years Cavs even though they are supposed to be more talented than last years Cavs.

How many heat fans had the heat still winning 50 games and a 3 seed without lebron?

5-5 is pretty conservative considering they have been 15-4 recently with him

The center shump are and will make a big defference on defense...21-20 is not that bad considering injuries lebron missed 25% of the season and new players and brand new coach...in the end reg season record means nothing i want them to be playing their best towards the end of the season...

was that Kyrie Irvings best game as a pro last night? 37 points, 12/18 and holds Chris Paul to 4/15?

I think it just might have been..

1% better on 20 more shots lol. You know what you have with JR, Dion can still improve. Over half of JR's shots with the Cavs have come from the 3pt line, he's hardly effective driving the ball anymore, something Nick Young can do when he's healthy and Nick Young also shoots 93% from the FT line.

Acting like JR is some great acquisition is unrealistic. Shumpert is also injury prone and doesn't provide much on offense, and there had to be better big men available now or near the deadline for 2 first rounders than Mozgov. These desperation moves are supposed to make the Cavs more feared?

so you are saying trading a late first rounder and Dion Waiters for Shumpert, Mozgov and Smith was desperation?

riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.....

I was surprised at how many games they lost without James- but if you look under the surface there were reasons.

Love has been playing with a bad back for a while which has really limited his play. James' injury coincided with the exact time they made 2 trades and really shook up the team. Kyrie had some lingering knee issues and missed time during that stretch as well. Really- none of the Cavs "Big 3" were healthy for that stretch- add in all the player turnover, the West Coast trip- it starts to come together.

Shumpert should be back in about a week. Mozgov is starting to get comfortable. The months of February and March are going to be huge for the Cavs.

and i gotta say- Kyrie Irving i think is the funnest guy in the league to watch ball. Mark Jackson said last night that he is probably the best guy inthe league at finishing at the hoop- his handle is off the charts....and the kid is only 22....and the Cavs just signed him to a 5 year extension that does not even kick in till next year....

Its going to be a lot of fun watching Kyrie take over for LeBron over the next 5 year. I cant wait to see what Kyrie's prime looks like. I really think last night might have been his best as a pro---- or right up there at least.

i thought everyone told us that JR was gonna ruin the team...instead he steps up and has a huge game against our biggest rivals- in addition to putting up some really nice points on that west coast trip when we were lacking offense. Whether he comes off the bench - or Shumpert does- Smith will be a weapon.

Dont expect any of the people that hated on Smith to actually come clean and give him some credit.

Smith is good when he's making shots.

Issue is when he's missing shots he is still a chuck.

Let's see how much you love him when he's shooting 3-12 in a crucial playoffs game

luckily for the Cavs- unlike the Knicks- we are not relying on Smith to be our 2nd or 3rd or even possibly our 4th scoring option depending on the circumstance.

Also- he will never get as many open shots in his career than he will with the Cavs these next few months.

sounds like a pretty solid situation for him to have success to me.

Cavs fans should never be beating their chest over ANY home win.

I can tell you, that other then the Spurs in The Finals last year, I never went to the arena thinking the Heat shouldn't win ( although obviously I knew they would lose many).

As far as J.R., BK hit the nail on the head. If I'm the opponent of a team with James/Kyrie/Love, I'm doing my best to hope Smith shoots early and often.

im not beating my chest over "any home win" - I was stating the fact that a lot of people blew a lot of hot air about Jr Smith being a detriment to the team and thus far he has been an undeniable positive. Thats it

all though- there is no doubt Chicago is Cavs biggest rival. I dont care if they are playing in Chicago, Cleveland or Moscow- beating them up big time is a good win.
