Should we go after Minkah Fitzpatrick?

With concerns about Callahan, and Yiadom looking shaky in that first game would it be the worst move in the world to move Kareem Jackson to #2 CB and go after Fitzpatrick to play SS? He's only 22 and would give the Defense an extra DB with tremendous upside.

He has really not played well so far. I still do like him around a better D. They want a first which absolutely not for us with the possibility of picking high. Lowest they will go is an early second. I think it is risky for us to make the move given his ups and downs so far. He really hasn’t shown much yet.

I would agree that it seems risky. The positive would be that with Harris, Parks, and Simmons potentially leaving at year end we would have a replacement for 1 of the 3 that may not be back next year.

He’s the type of hybrid DB that Fangio seems to like and utilize. With the control of his contract, I’d certainly consider giving up a second for him.

I may be in the minoriy but not sold on Justin Simmons. Too up and down for me.Great athlete who can make plays but at times looks a little lost.

Will Parks is David Bruton Jr. Nice 3rd safety to have. Probably not a long term starter so if someone thinks otherwise let him walk if not then perfect in the Bruton role. He will play in the NFL a log time IMo as a role player.

Harris should be top priority depending on how he plays this year.

Just saying those are 3 contributors that may not be here next year. I like Simmons but I think he is replaceable.

Harris is s stud but it might be better to let him go a year or two early then a year or two late. I guess it will depend on what he is willing to do from a contract structure perspective. I don’t think a 4 or 5 year deal is in the works from us unless the guaranteed money is in the first couple of years so the team has a way out after a couple years.

My comments were random.

He is gonna go to the Steelers for a rd 1 pick. Miami now has 3 1st round picks in 2020 and 2 in 2021. Raiders like.

Dang, that could be a really high pick with Ben out for the year.

Like to see a team like the Dolphins get these types of deals as oppose to other team we all don’t root for. ;)

I really don't see this trade for the Fins. Are they likely to get a better player than Minkah with the Steeler's pick next year? Unless - Minkah was a locker room cancer of some kind - the fins would have been better off keeping him and having some veteran talent to build upon.

Their goal is to have the all rookie team. You know a team that is all rookies. :dhd:

Minkah has been a letdown so far. But it is early. I feel like Miami just wants to load up at this point. I get it yet I don’t.
