I thought about your question long and hard.

I really don't think he can be considered a rookie anymore after a full year in the NFL as both a backup and starter. I just hope he will receive the proper coaching to develop into what we all hope that he can become.

everything and i mean everything is messed up because of this pandemic . the truth is he isnt getting OTA snaps , Mini camp snaps (2 of them because of new HC ) and most likely he will get a shortened TC amount of snaps and who know how many pre season games there will be

i dont know if you will see decent play from him till mid season , much like last season and trolls like 2021 will be tooting their horns talking about how the knew he was a bust

so yes he isnt a rookie , but no he wont be what he could be (at least early )

I agree about the pandemic messing everything up but all NFL teams with young QBs, and particularly the highly touted QBs who just got drafted, are dealing with the same thing.

He has had a rookie season, I have to agree with tomcat. Everyone that is early in their career is in the same boat this year. Haskins, Jones, Tua, Burrow etc. and that goes for young guys at other positions too.
