Obviously Lamar has some issues to work out and will most likely not be looked at for another month. I am going to give him a pass and assume he gets the professional help he needs and will be ready to play ball by October. The question is how much does he get and is he worth it? If I was any other team then the Lakers I would be worried and I would be afraid of getting screwed like Dallas. The Lakers, however is a different story and while we would lose Hammer Down as a Lakers fan, believe that the veteran minimum would be worth the risk

Only for the vet minimum, only for 1 year, only if he shows up in shape and only if he successfully completes rehab!!

Really though, his #1 priority needs to be getting his life under control, forget basketball!!

Not necessarily - diving into basketball and putting 100% into it could be therapeutic. Have you ever heard the expression idle hands is the devils workshop? Having something to do and friends around him to bear down him might be the best thing that ever happened to him. He's got a lot to get together though - I give you that

from rehab you mean?

I think picking up Lamar from rehab would really show him that somebody cared about him and maybe boost his recovery.

As for signing him to a contract...LOL what do the lakers have to lose?

LO apparently didn't go to rehab. I'm a big LO fan, but I would stay away from him at this point. His NBA days are done.

Yeah, he checked out after one day. If anything, he should be on suicide watch. He is a threat to OD. Word.

You might consider suicide as well if you was married to one of those Karadashians - lol

Mabe, but I think he could get it together and sign with another team, but before he can repair his life, he must first admit that he has a problem and needs help. Checking out of rehab the next day is not an indicator that he acknowledges having a problem. It's kind of sad and reminds me of former Dogers player Darryl Strawberry
