Well if it helps, I'm not smart enough to troll, let alone try it. All I was trying to say (in a nutshell) is that coaching stability at UN sucks. Maybe I am just spoiled from Tom's days, maybe expecting more because we have all seen more and frustrated why we can't get there. Sorry, will stfu now.

No reason to be sorry. Keep in mind though, if you're basing your sorrow on Bo shopping for jobs there's a headline that says Nick Saban has been talking to Penn State lol. I don't believe it haha.

Don't get all butt hurt about it. You want stability. That is not a dumb thing to want. The problem is, you wanted Stoops. Do you really think he is stable? A "big name guy" to keep up with the "joneses" is not going to stick around either because that isn't the way of college sports now adays. I wanted an up and comer but someone that has done it before. In a perfect world, Marvin Sanders would have still been here and he would have been moved up after Carl left but that was not an option. Just like the head coaching position that was open before Bo took the job, I don't feel that Nebraska is a starting ground for head coaches and coordinators. It is too big for that. I realize it has been successfull in the past and at other schools but I am talking about here and now. Being the DC here under Pelini is just like being the OC here under Billy C. It is just a "title" and we all know who the real DC is with Bo and who the real OC was with Billy C.

To be honest, I don't know who, I am not as well versed as a lot of people are on here about other coaches. If Papuchis works and stays, great.

Ok, like sandhill, I am just making sure I am following. You mention the instability we have had over the last 12 years. Solich was fired by an idiot. Billy C was hired by an idiot and fired because he sucked. That is not on TO. What level of coaches do you want to stay longer than 2-3 years? Position coaches? Coordinators? Head Coaches? Position coaches want to be coordinators. Coordinators want to be head coaches. Head coaches want to get PAID!!!! The Milt Tenopirs, Dan Youngs, Charlie McBrides, Mickie Andrews, George Darlingtons don't exist anymore. Well, except for Coach Young, they "exist" but you know what I mean. Promoting from within is how you keep stability. Same voices, same philosophy, and so on.

Maybe you didn't explain it well from the beginning and that is ok. It takes some practice. Don't worry about it. And an FYI, the stfu thing I said at the end of my first response on this thread was not at you at all. Also, say whatever you want whether you look like an idiot or not. Look at me and Brasky. We look like idiots all the time. The difference is that I have a clue in what I am talking about.

That's cool, and I thank you Jed. I really do suck at putting down words right. I guess you're right, promote from within to keep the same mentality, I'll buy that. Maybe I'll start another thread "Keep everyone else, nrgmorris should go".
