Honestly, the league should have Super Bowls in every city that has a team and rotate it around better than they do. This nonsense about inclement weather and all that is stupid. So it "might" rain. Hell, it rained worse in Jacksonville for Indy and Chicago. Actually, February has been known to have some pretty nice weather in Seattle. I've gone to Pike Place a couple of times in Feb. wearing a t-shirt on a sunny day. SB parade day there this year was a gorgeous day. As for logistics, every city has good and bad. And as for the media day stuff and all the surrounding bullshit that I've heard people complaining about, host it in Safeco down the street and close the lid. No big deal.

I'm relatively ambivalent about this. It does seem to me, however, that most fans outside of the 2 teams playing in the SB, would prefer a sunny locale to enjoy the game. There are enough fans of the NFL to sell the tickets out regardless.
