They should just to get out of that shit-hole city called Oakland. And since most of their fans are too poor to follow the team from Oakland they might get some respectable fans for a change.

That was one of my initial thoughts

And clearly nobody could imagine the Cowboys having to deal with a stalwart city refusing to provide a stadium deal.
Another good point. lol

Unless you're a rams fan
Even the Rams had a big drought of support. Yeah the bring LA Rams back was a decent sized movement but it's the classic you don't know what you got till it's gone then take for granted when it comes back.

It's a different generation of fans so I won't doom them but people have much better things to do on a Sunday in LA than pay for overpriced tickets and beer for a shitty / mediocre team.

I think if the Rams don't win LA stops going to games.

As a vikings fan, why

My all time favorite player played for the Raiders and they have a history, Jags and Chargers not so much.

The one advantage I see by putting the Raiders in Vegas is you can capture the Southern California market as well. SoCal Raiders fans will make the drive out to Vegas to watch them play. Plus the regional rivalries could come into play as well. Pheonix, LA, Las Vegas, San Diego(depending on stadium situation) are all pretty close to eachother.

I hope they don't move, let the Jags or Chargers move there.
Jags won't work in Vegas, and I doubt the Chargers would, the Raiders on the other hand will, there's already a large Raider fsn base here, and plenty others a 4 hour drive away in LA.

I think they should go to Vegas. Besides being tailor made for Vegas, Cali has to many teams anyways. it would be a smart move for the team & for the NFL.

I'm against it, but at least they wouldn't be too far. They'd be close to their So Cal fans, and many Northern California fans would love to spend a weekend in Vegas.

Yes, tomorrow if they can. It almost makes me wish I was a Raider fan, Almost. First Oakland is a shithole. Second LV is the entertainment capital of the world. Just imagine the additional entertainment that will surround the game? Not only will they have support from their fans, but think how many opposing fans would take a trip to Vegas? Many of them wouldn't entertain a free trip to Oakland. Go, you go now!

Neither do I. I think it's a cheap attempt to increase viewers by adding a touch of "vegas" to it. What they need to do is simply poll their viewers and find out what we want. Remember when oakland first moved...

Moving to Vegas will do nothing for ratings...this is simple. The NFL wants their teams playing in shiny, new, modern stadiums...the city of OAK apparently doesn't want to pay towards said new stadium, and the owner doesn't have the cash or a local partner to fund it and Vegas checks off 2 of the 3...they city is forking over a nice chunk, the partner has a nice chunk and Davis/NFL is footing some of it.

Wait a minute, are you a Raider fan or Viking fan?

NFC Norris Vike fan first, AFC West Raider fan second. Have been my whole life. Seen every cotdam SuperBowl ever played...on tv of course.

I am not a fan of teams moving from city to city or where the grass is greener...nuff said.

As a Canadian who has to fly down to the games I'd love a team in Vegas. Man that would be a fun road trip every time the Hawks played there. But that also might be the problem for the Raiders. I don't think they'd get much of a home field advantage because how many visiting fans would make that their go to destination to watch an away game? Still though, I love the idea of a team in Vegas!
