I saw this one live...it was somewhat comical with Free getting lifted off the ground in the shuffle and I don't blame him for throwing a punch...WTF were the other Falcons that had his back?

If refs started throwing out players for minor things.
That would become part of the gameplan.
use a 4th string player to pick a fight with a star player & get them ejected. next thing you know your star Qb, RB, WR, TE whatever is ejected & the other team lost a guy that wasnt gonna see the field. It would literally be apart of strategy. You cant open that pandora's box.
