Thanks for enlightening me, I was unaware that the backups have a different playbook than the starters, now it makes sense to me, I always wondered why when the backup comes in, sometimes it seems like they aren't on the same page with the starters, it's because the starters don't have the condensed book that the backups are playing with!
I would think that the backups might know the playbook better than the starter, the backups are trying to make the team, and the backups have more down time to study the playbook. Do the backup lineman and WR's have this same condensed playbook you speak of ?
