It's pretty much the running joke of most Americans that 1) our news media outlets are awful and 2) Fox News is the worst. I'm a conservative and can't watch that pandering crap.

Ceremonial positions like at a memorial, I disagree. But I'd sure put more protection nearby.

It was an ambush, sadly I am not sure that having a live weapon would have changed anything.

I tend to give politicians a bit of a break (high up positions) because they're honestly *always* on the job. And I doubt he was even thinking about publicity at the moment.

I didn't defend Fox, I merely pointed out a fact. That you admit to not having watched them "for years" yet still slam them because they don't share your ideology says a lot about you. That you got so defensive says even more.
