Choo knows to step forward and posture enough not to get thrown out... but... enough to encourage a pitcher's over-reaction that will cause the opponent to be thrown out.

Choo is too smart and too valuable to his team to make an over-reaction to a little ball hitting him.

Choo's tough... he's been hit a league leading 23 times and still has the 4th best OBP in the majors.

I would have no qualms telling him that doing that after 5 or 6 times it just makes him look ridiculous. I don't walk up to people and say insulting things all the time if that's what you're asking, but if I were talking to him and it came up, sure I'd tell him what I thought. I don't think that makes me a "tough guy". I do think it makes me honest.

Yes he's slumping a bit, but he's facing a lot of lhp and he's been a little streaky this year. The talent is certainly there.
