Well, some won't: according to The Hollywood Reporter, AMC bankruptcy appears likely.

Some local theaters here are offering curbside concessions, and also virtual cinema, where you basically pay the theater a PPV charge to stream the movie at home.

I don't know about A LOT.

I believe the going rate is $19.99 per view.

If you have kids then $19.99 to stay at home is worth it. I'm a cinema head through and through so going to one is an experience in it of itself for me. There's one right next to my job and with my movie pass I could watch unlimited movies for $21.00 a month so it is a steal for me.

And concessions are dear but there are a myriad of restaurants around so I had the option of going to one before my showings started.

So obviously I am hoping this pandemic doesn't take away movies like it has sports?

I know what you mean. My local Blockbuster has been closed for about 10 years now. I am crossing my fingers that they open the economy so I can go back...

We've been this route before and you lost then too.

You want to compromise on what you watch after spending huge $$ on a video system, feel free.

I want to view the best possible. Right now it's a Bluray. Or a 4K Bluray.

Nothing faux about that statement.

And cheaper than On Demand too.

Roger that. Back in the day, one of the main Drive Ins in the area was the Giant 41 Twin that featured screens on both sides. Believe it or not, they used to show pron movies on it as well.

The good ole days

My dad was to drive in's like bruce lee was to kung fu. Just a master. I have so many stories.

One where the lady at the booth asked him if he knew the movie was rated R. He said yes. She said there is going to be nudity!! He goes, that is why I am taking my boys!

He could park the car as to see all the screens. He could get a peek at all kinds of titties. The one we went to most was the one in Dallas off 635 and 75. One of my best friends mom went into labor there with his little sis. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. LOL

Cheech and chong was fantastic on the big screen as there was always motorcycle gangs pulled up smoking weed and we would go get a contact high from them.

I go to maybe a couple movies a year, sometimes more if I have vacation days to burn. Nothing better than going to a midweek matinee and having the theater to yourself. Smoke up in the car before if you feel the need, get your goodies and chill.

I still buy CDs as well.

But I usually get those on-line for greater selection.
