remake of True Grit(decent, but not as good as the John Wayne/Glen Campbell original)
remake of the Magnificent Seven(decent, but again, one of those movies that probably shouldn't have been remade)

I went to see Little Women, Bombshell and The Rise of Skywaker. To me it's still fun to go to the movies. Some like movies on IMAX are much better than on TV.

That said, it's not as often as I used to go and I doubt we'll go anything soon after this pandemic ends.

Don't go because of the ridiculous cost, since most movies are crap anyway.

They are all mostly CGI cartoons.

Yup, I am really tired of cartoons, effects pictures and superhero shit. No way I am going to waste time on that shit.

The last theater movie we saw was the Queen musical biopic. We would have gone to Midway, but the theaters were all showing Frozen so it had been "frozen" out of theaters to leave more screens for the cartoons.

I still enjoy going to the movies. I go to a few each year, usually war flicks. Midway and 1917 were both awesome af in imax.

All the Lord of the Ring movies, Dunkirk, Star Wars. They are all pretty damm good to watch with a screen 60 ft high,
