The O's have finished strong in all three of Buck's years with the team. He seems to do well handling the expanded roster. Let's hope it continues.

we need 20 more wins...to finish with the same record as last year and i think it sures up a playoff spot...if he continues strong managing in september and we can go on a 20-6 record and make the playoffs means we get hot at the perfect time

angels up 5-1 stays this way put us within 2 . this would be the 5th loss for the rays and the 5th win in a row for the angels . rays have 2 more vs angels vargas and weaver . then 3 vs m's king and iwa so we could head back to baltimore very close to the wildcard just win baby !!!!!

Let's hope we can string 8-10 games in a row together for the first time all season. It seems these guys take things a bit more serious and hold each other accountable the last month the past few seasons so... here's to a good run in September boys!

Buck Showalter's record in September/October with the Orioles so far: 57-29, or 66.2%. (Note that this includes the 2012 postseason.)

If we apply that to the remaining 26 games, the expected record would be 17-9, for an overall regular-season record of 90-72. This might be barely enough for the second wild card based on the expected records of current wild card contenders.

Starting with the White Sox series will be the barometer for them, they have to at least get 3/4 there. With an all AL East schedule it will be tough to get 20 wins, I'd say 17-9 would be acceptable, and take 3/4 against TB in the process.
