SENS VS FLYERS GNT

I remember it clearly. I first wanted a goalie for obvious reasons, so I was hoping Chet Pickard would fall to us knowing damn well we still wouldn't have drafted him even if he did fall one more spot.

Sens trade up and take my number two guy Karlsson. Nashville then uses the Sens' pick to take Pickard. Double DOH!

Flyers trade up...yayyyy! I then wanted Michael Del Zotto who fell pretty far AND John Carlson to slip to our SECOND first round pick. Instead we take Luca Sbisa (who?) and I eventually fall in love with him (In a non sexual kind of way). Now I am like a little school girl. Carlson still on the board and our SECOND 1st round pick is coming up. Then what happens? we trade it for dogshit Steve Eminger.

Sbisa gets traded for prongs. My sbisa jersey finds a permanent spot in my closet and the the flyers win a stanley cup in 2011.

LOL...I think Sbisa is going to end up being a good player but at least the Flyers got Pronger for him. One of those "what if" moments though...what if the Flyers got Karlsson? Would they have traded him for Pronger? I'm not so sure they would have knowing that kids potential and you just have to wonder how many points he would have on a team like the Flyers right now. I'd say he'd have at least 40, maybe even 50. He's that skilled of a player.

Steve Eminger? Not one of Holmgren's best moves there...

Yea thats what I am asking myself now, would we have traded Karlsson anyway? I think yes. I know Sbisa hasnt been great since getting traded, but he made our team as a 19 year old and had an impressive season. We were pretty high on him. The fact he hasnt been getting much PT in the NHL is making Homer look like a genius, but I think the kid will be OK. Just don't think he will be a Karlsson.
