I say the league should let it be known that they will review any instances where a player may have taken a dive to get the cheap call. the penalty........1 game suspension 1st offense, 2 games 2nd offense, and so on. I bet the pool will be empty in no time.
Agreed. I think it's too much to ask the officials to always get it right without the benefit of review from different angles. Not only that but once in a while guy's are going to be called for diving when they didn't actually dive. I think if you really want to fix the problem it has to be done after the game by means of review and with a significant enough punishment. Reviews aren't always perfect but they have a better chance at getting it right than the ref does who only gets to see it for a split second from 1 angle when he's not specifically looking for it.
