That's the thing, if you were to ask me to provide a top 10 list of my favourite players in the league right now, Schiefele is on that list. Really out of character play from him last night.

Seriously and if anyone on the Jets I would expected that out of was Wheeler first and even that is a stretch.

imho, if Scheifele poke checks and THEN finishes the check, even with the same force, that's an OK hit.

it's only because he had absolutely no interest in the puck that makes it predatory.
otherwise, even the charging call is arguable. distance travelled yes, but he took no strides from at least the hash marks.
hit with the shoulder on a level plane from what I saw.


however, he did completely ignore the puck, so deserves whatever they throw at him.

I would have said PLD because he has given questionable hits in the past when he's pissed off. But I don't think even he would do that. He might punch you in the head as you skate away but he isn't going to cover a third of the ice to obliterate you.
